Hey there food hunters! It does not matter whether you are a Kuchingite or not, I would love to share with you readers simply the places that serve delicious good food that is not to be missed in Kuching. From the most famous eateries to the best-kept secrets, these are some of the places that I would like to share with all of you food lovers. These places are simply a few of my personal choices out of hundreds of restaurants in Kuching and they are not necessarily ranked the top 5. Yet still they serve the best of food and services. And so, these are the few 5 eateries of my choice: ♡♡♡

1. Top Spot Food Court
☆Jalan Bukit Mata Kuching, 93100 Kuching

Top Spot Food Court is undeniably the most well known seafood eating place in the heart of Kuching city. With a common eating area, Top Spot has the loud, lively feel of a hawker centre. Some of the recomended dishes would be midin, ginger steamed parrot fish, grilled prawns and salted egg yolk and milk crabs.

Grilled prawns - fresh and juicy, exploding with the flavours of the butter and garlic, along with the prawns' natural juices.

2. Rock Road Seafood Restaurant
☆Lot 1229-1230 2 1/2 Mile, Jalan Rock, 93150 Kuching

Rock Road Seafood Restaurant offers quality food, a clean and friendly atmosphere. Besides ala carte menu, buffet and catering menu services are also provided. One of the signature dish is the Special Hainanese Crab.

Special Hainanese Crab - to fully enjoy this dish, it's best to eat them with your hands and dip the peanut-laced gravy with the accompanied soft, fluffy buns.

3. Kopi O Corner
☆No. 139B, Bangunan MARA, Jalan Satok, 93400 Kuching

When your stomach starts to grumble, stuff yourself with a hearty meal at Kopi O Corner which offers the most extensive menu of Sarawakian dishes under one roof. There is so much to eat here at ridiculously low price. What is more interesting is that Kopi O Corner opens 24/7. One of the signature dish is the beef prata roll.

Beef prata roll - filling and gorgeously colourful, the beef prata roll is not a common dish familiar to most Malaysians and so, this is definitely a must-try dish.

4. RJ Ayam Bakar
☆291-295 Jalan Abell, 93100 Kuching

RJ Ayam Bakar-RJ is short for raja (king)-is a simple kopitiam that sells variety of Asian fusion food. Appararently, the Raja Ayam Bakar is a must-try and is crowned as king. True enough, the chicken is nicely grilled with a little condiment, the overall taste is splendid. Other than that, RJ Ayam Bakar is also famous for its Ayam Penyet, Raja Banana Cheese and other specialties.

Raja Banana Cheese - eaten while they are still hot, these fritters are simply out-of-this-world.

5. Fork & Knife
☆Lot 19320, 2nd Precint. Jalan Setia Raja, 93350 Kuching

If you are into western food and looking for a nice place to spend some time with your loved ones, this is the place that will not disappoint you. Fork & Knife has friendly service, tasty food, reasonably priced, with descent interior decoration. Other than the regular-sized western dishes, they also serves jumbo meals which are indeed very big in portion. A few would be the jumbo lamb shoulder and the jumbo chicken chop.

Pavlova - this lovely looking dessert tastes as nice as it looks and it is one of the best pavlova in Kuching.
